Georgios Samaras (born February 21, 1985) is a professional
footballer who represents Greece and plays club football in the
English Premiership for Manchester City.
He was born in Heraklion, Greece. Prior to signing for Man City
in January 2006 for £6,250,000, Samaras played for Dutch side
Heerenveen, where, before the switch, he netted 6 goals in 13
games.
Samaras, who wears number 20, adds good height to the Man City
forward line, and has made a positive start at the club, scoring
three goals in his first seven games.
