Anders Svensson (born July 17, 1976 in Göteborg, Sweden) is a
Swedish international football player playing for IF Elfsborg
from Borås. His role on the pitch is that of an offensive
midfielder. He is known to be very good free-kick taker, which
he showed in the Football World Cup 2002 in Japan/South Korea,
where he scored a fabulous goal against Argentina in the group
stages. He made his breakthrough while playing for IF Elfsborg
in the late 90's before moving to English side Southampton FC in
2001. After a few relatively unsuccessful years in England, he
decided to move back to Sweden and IF Elfsborg in 2005, where he
