Biography
Steven Pienaar (born March 17, 1982 in Johannesburg) is a South
African football midfielder currently with AFC Ajax Amsterdam.
Joining Ajax from their South African satellite club Ajax Cape
Town, he made his first team debut on February 24, 2002.
One of the more famous Ajax players, Pienaar is a regular with
the South Africa national football team and was a part of the
squad for the 2002 World Cup. He has recently signed a pre-contract
agreement with the German club Borussia Dortmund to join them at
the end of his current contract.
