Patrick Owomoyela (born November 5, 1979 in Hamburg) is a
football (soccer) player in Germany. He has a German mother and
a Nigerian father. He is also a very good basketball player.
He currently is a defender for SV Werder Bremen and is a member
of the German national team. He has made 6 international
appearances. Owomoyela plays a rather offensive game for a
defender, ranging all over the field and often sending dangerous
crosses or leading passes to Werder's strikers. However, he is
also strong on the defensive side of the ball.
