Biography
Noureddine Naybet (born February 10, 1970) is an Moroccan
international football player and captain, who is currently a
defender for Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premiership.
Naybet has earned over 100 caps with the Moroccan national team.
He was signed on August 13th - and made his English Premiership
debut 24 hours later.
Although a regular in the Tottenham first team in 2004 - 2005,
he has more recently been a reserve player under new boss Martin
Jol. The influence brought by his vast experience is widely
regarded as one of the factors behind the excellent partnership
of Ledley King and Michael Dawson in the heart of the Spurs
defence.
In January 2006, Naybet appeared for Morocco in the African Cup
Of Nations. He remains a popular and respected player at both
club and international levels.
