Diego Milito (born June 12, 1979 in Bernal, Buenos
Aires) is an Argentine professional football forward, currenly
playing at Real Zaragoza of the Spanish first division.
Diego started playing at Argentine first division Racing Club in
1999, where he would win the 2001 Apertura tournament.
At the beggining of 2005 he moved to Italian second division
Genoa. After two very succesful season, where he scored 33 goals
in 59 matches in Italy, Diego Milito transfered to its current
club Real Zaragoza. Also in Spain Diego showed his potential. He
scored 4 goals in the first semi-final of the 2006 Copa del Rey
to beat Real Madrid 6-1.
Diego currently plays with his younger brother Gabriel Milito,
though while in Argentina, he would play for Racing Club's all-time
rivals Independiente. |
