Biography
Lúcio (born May 8, 1978 in
Brasília) is a Brazilian football (soccer) defender, a 2002
World Cup winner with the Brazilian national team.
He is widely considered as Brazil's best central defender, and a
key member of the Brazillian squad's defence. Frequently makes
runs into the opponent's half, something which is rarely done by
central defenders.
On the club level, Lúcio played for Internacional Porto Alegre
(1997-2000), Bayer Leverkusen (2000-2004), and Bayern Munich
(2004-).
