Biography
Niko Kovač (born October 15, 1971 in Berlin, Germany) is a
Croatian footballer. He plays as a midfielder with the Croatia
national football team, as well as Hertha BSC Berlin of the
German Bundesliga.
Kovač has had two stints with Hertha BSC Berlin (1991-96 and
2003-05). He also played for Bayer Leverkusen (1996-99), Hamburg
(1999-2001), and Bayern Munich (2001-03). He played for Croatia
at the 2002 World Cup and Euro 2004. With Croatia, Leverkusen,
and Bayern, Niko was teammates of brother Robert.
