Biography
Dirk Kuyt (born July 22, 1980, in Katwijk) is a Dutch football
striker, who currently plays for Feyenoord Rotterdam.
As of summer 2005, Kuyt has scored 107 times in the Eredivisie.
At Feyenoord he is scoring better than he did for FC Utrecht (51
for Utrecht in 161 matches against 66 for Feyenoord in 78
matches). He played for FC Utrecht from the 1998 until 2003. He
has played for Feyenoord since 2003/04, contracted until the
season 2007/08.
The first time Kuyt scored a hat-trick was the first game of the
2004/05 season. Both his three-goal games came against De
Graafschap (6-1 in Rotterdam, 2-7 in Doetinchem), and he had a
four-goal game against ADO Den Haag.
From March 2001 (F.c. Utrecht) until April 2006 (Feyenoord)
Kuijt has played every match avaiable with his team, resulting
in an imposant playing streak of 179 matches.
Kuijt has recently been linked to moves to Tottenham Hotspurs,
Newcastle, and Arsenal.
