Guti, full name José María Gutiérrez Hérnandez (born October 31,
1976 in Madrid) is a Spanish football (soccer) player who
currently plays for Real Madrid. He is a very versatile player
who mainly operates in the central midfield. He has yet to find
regular first team time even though he has won three UEFA
Champions League titles with Real Madrid. He wears the number 14
shirt and despite attempts in the summer to offload him, Guti
has found a regular place in the starting line-up in the 2005/06
season, acting as captain in numerous occassions. He is
currently settled with his wife and the couple have recently
