Damien Duff (born 2 March 1979 in Ballyboden, Dublin) is an
Irish football player. He is a midfielder (more precisely a
winger) who plays club football for English Premiership power
Chelsea and internationally for the Republic of Ireland. Duff
joined Chelsea from Blackburn Rovers for 17 million pounds. In
the early part of the 2004-2005 season, Duff formed a powerful
partnership with Chelsea's other left winger, Arjen Robben; with
the two players switching sides from wing to wing and
terrorising premiership defences. |
