Vincent
Candela (born October 24, 1973 in Bédarieux) is a French
football (soccer) left back. With the French national team,
Candela won the 1998 World Cup.
On the club level, Candela played for Toulouse (1992-95),
Guingamp (1995-97), A.S. Roma (1997-2005), Bolton Wanderers
(2005), and Udinese (2005-). He won one scudetto with Roma.
For France, Candela was capped 40 times, scoring five goals, his
playing time often limited by Bixente Lizarazu, but he did play
in a group match during the 1998 triumph. Although he didn't get

2000. He also played at the 1996 Olympic Games and the 2002
