A firm favourite with the fans after he came off the bench to
score twice against Slovenia and put 10-man Paraguay into the
knockout stages of the World Cup in 2002. His mother famously
demanded River Plate sign him up in 1999 but after a failing to
hold a regular first team place played for a year in China. Now
plays for Mexican side Pachuca. Well-known for his television
appearances where "Pipino" loves to play the guitar, sing songs
and recount amusing stories. |
