Julio César Cáceres Lopes (born October 5, 1979 in San José dos
Arroyos) is a Paraguayan football defender. He has 28 caps and 4
goals for Paraguay, and played in the 2002 World Cup. His debut
came in April 2002 against England.
His first club was Olimpia Asunción, where he became Paraguayan
champion in 1999 and 2000, and won the Copa Libertadores in 2002
and the Recopa Sudamericana in 2003. He was bought by FC Nantes
in 2004, but became no success and moved to Brazilian club
Atletico Mineiro for the 2005/06 season. At the start of the
2006 season, he moved to River Plate of Argentina on loan from
FC Nantes. |
