Amedeo
Carboni (born 6 April 1965 in Arezzo, Italy) is a professional
footballer who has represented his country eighteen times as a
defender.
Carboni has represented many Italian Clubs before joining
Valencia CF. On 23 October 2005, he became the oldest player at
the age of 40 years, six months and 17 days to play in the La
Liga, a record previously held by Deportivo de La Coruña's
Donato.
He also achieved the feat of the oldest winner of any European
club competition, when he won the UEFA cup in 2004. His brother,
Guido Carboni, is currently manager of Italian Serie B team A.S.
Bari.He is currently linked with the job os Sporting Director of
Valencia CF after his retirement.
