Winston
Bogarde (born October 22, 1970 in Rotterdam). is a former Dutch
professional footballer, who is most notable for playing for F.C.
Barcelona and Chelsea F.C..
He is noted for appearing only eleven times for Chelsea in a
four years, reportedly earning �40,000 a week during this period.
He was released from the club in 2004.
On November 8, 2005, he announced his retirement from
professional football, having failed to find a club since
leaving Chelsea. Before moving abroad, he played for Ajax
Amsterdam and Sparta Rotterdam. Bogarde was capped twenty times
for the Dutch national squad. |
