Jorge Andrade, full name Jorge Manuel Almeida Gomes de Andrade, (born April 9, 1978) is a football defender who plays for RC Deportivo La Coruña and is one of Corunas star players. He was part of the Portugal national team at the 2002 World Cup and Euro 2004. Unfortunately for Andrade, he is set to miss the 2006 World Cup due to a knee injury, his presence will be sorely missed by the Portugal national team for whom Andrade is a vital player.
